TJP - Supporting learning and advice in workplaces and communities
The Johnston Partnership has been involved in developing/delivering Learning Advocates/Workplace Learning Advocates (WLAs) since 2004. WLAs are employees who encourage informal and formal learning at work and in their local communities.
WLAs developed into a national scheme in partnership with a London based organisation called Workbase Training - www.wlas.org.uk From January 2016 the Workers' Educational Association (WEA) will start to take over the role of leading WLAs.
You can read more about the WEA plans for WLAs here - http://www.wea.org.uk/wla
